Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, why it is used, and the limited circumstances in which another party may receive it. By continuing to use the Archer County Criminal History site, you accept these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or location entered into a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

We retain an email message as needed to answer it. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, servers may collect routine technical facts about the visit:

  • The IP address assigned to your device
  • Which browser you are using and its version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
  • The site that sent you here, if any
  • Timestamps for each page view

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help measure traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.

What We Do With This Data

  • Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
  • Sending your search requests to the right partner service
  • Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
  • Tracking down and fixing technical issues
  • Showing ads that may line up with your interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

This site does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It provides general directions to Archer County custodians, the local courts, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not turned into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies govern submitted data, and they set their own rules for retention and disclosure. Review the applicable partner policy before sending a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to the Archer County sheriff, court portals, Texas agencies, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once you leave this site, the destination's policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.

Some advertising companies may track activity across sites to select ads. That processing occurs on their systems.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:

  • Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
  • Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
  • Ad networks that place ads on our pages
  • Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable security practices protect collected data. No internet service is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If such information is identified, it will be deleted.

Your Data Rights

Texas consumer-protection law, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act in Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541, may provide added rights when it applies. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, governs records held by public bodies, not this private site. At a minimum, you may:

  • Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
  • Have us fix information that is wrong
  • Request that we erase your data
  • Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
